Play-therapy
Play therapy is a form of therapy used primarily for children. That is because children may not be able to process their own emotions or articulate problems to parents or other adults. While it may look like an ordinary playtime, play therapy can be much more than that. During play therapy, I will typically work with children aged 6 to 11, using play as a communication tool to understand their world and to help them deal with emotional distress and trauma. Play therapy focuses on helping children and their families work through difficult life issues and experiences.

Play Therapy is an effective tool in assisting children and families who have experienced any of the following issues:

Individual therapy
Individual Therapy is generally conducted with Adolescents and Adults. During adolescence, individuals experience one of the most trying emotional phases of their development, which can be a challenge for the individual as well as the family. Individual therapy gives the adolescent the space to be heard and understood in terms of personal experiences. Adolescents typically face relationship difficulties, family relationship difficulties, divorce, anxiety, bullying (including cyber bullying), peer pressure and exposure to external influences which may be harmful both physically and emotionally.

Similarly, adults experience relationship difficulties, work / career challenges, trauma, and a myriad of other challenges. Therapy provides an outlet for adults to gain perspective and understanding of personal challenges in a confidential and safe environment.
